More than a ride: why patients choose ambulatory NEMT
Rideshare drivers are not trained to assist passengers and usually wait at the curb. For an older adult or a patient who just had a procedure, that last stretch from the door to the car — or from the car to the clinic — is where falls happen. Our drivers are trained to provide hands-on assistance, wait while you get settled, and make sure you get inside safely.
If you are coming home after a procedure with sedation, ask your clinic about their discharge rules. Many require a responsible adult escort; we can coordinate with the clinic about pickup timing.
